TABRIZ, East Azarbaijan Prov. -- Iran's soccer team here Tuesday evening defeated the guest side of Morocco to cruise into the final of the LG Cup.

Morocco that had found themselves behind Iran when Ali Bavab scored an own goal in the 26th minute, eventually made a last minute draw when the substitute Jalal Kalaei scored the equalizer.

The fate of the finalist of the cup had to be chosen in the penalties, where Iran beat Morocco 5-4.

Paraguay had earlier beaten South Africa 2-0 to face Iran in the final.
